This 1910 Pathé short about two kids visiting Brussels was clearly intended to attract tourists.

Durch Brüssel in Zehn Minuten is a beautiful belle époque travelogue about Brussels, dated 1905-1910.

This excerpt from Bill Morrison’s Just Ancient Loops (2012) shows the beauty of archive film and of decay. The music is from Michael Harrison, the cellos are performed by Maya Beiser. The original footage comes from Ferdinand Zecca and Lucien Nonguet’s La vie et la passion de Notre Seigneur Jésus Christ (1907). More work by Bill Morrison can be found on his homepage.
